When the 3 Series is not your choice.

Even though many who think the BMW 3 Series is not the car they want to drive it’s hard to argue with what the 3 Series is and how it performs.  This car has been lauded as the best driving car on the road and a legend in the automotive world.  This is a car that combines the ability of a fantastic athlete along with giving you intelligent design and performance features.  It may surprise you that anyone would not want to have this car as their choice to drive, but some are not fans of the build of the BMW or they want a specific feature that is only offered on some cars but not on the 3 Series.

When this is the case, and these consumers want to enjoy a great drive that is present on the BMW 3 Series there are some other choices you can make.  Here are some vehicles that you can select that will be able to provide you with an athletic and active drive for you to enjoy on the road without the need to purchase the 3 Series from BMW, giving you the best of what you want.

Audi A4

The A4 is not only one of the best choices this is a direct competitor to the 3 Series it’s one that in some ways has outclassed the car.  The A4 shows up with excellent style and the most advanced AWD system on the market today called the Quattro.  With a perfectly styled interior from Audi, the A4 is powered by 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 220 horsepower that can be attached to three different transmissions to give you the power and the performance you want.  If you would like to enjoy a coupe with only two doors you can move up to the A5 to have the car you want.

Lexus IS

Taking a look toward another company from somewhere else in the world the Japanese company of Lexus has an offering that will give you an exciting ride as well.  The Lexus IS is made to be a fun drive for the road and gives you an elegant and sophisticated style that has three different engines for you to choose from with horsepower that ranges from 214 to 30c and gives you the choice between RWD and AWD to be attached to an eight speed automatic transmission for an amazing drive.

Chevrolet SS

The SS may be beyond the 3 Series in the way it can perform.  First of all this car has a massive 6.2-liter V8 under the hood pushing 415 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque and offers the handling made possible from the Magnetic Ride Control suspension that makes this a car that certainly should be considered as one of the highest performing cars on the road, especially in sedan form.  Inside the car is comfortable and engaged to make driving a dream from this RWD monster of the blacktop.

Infiniti Q50

If Lexus is in the mix you had to know Infiniti would be as well.  Powered by a 3.7-liter V6 with 320 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque, the Q50 is crafted well, designed perfectly and engineered to be an exceptional car.  In style alone, the Q50 carries the award in this group and with the stance and power while the power is fed to the rear wheels or give to all of them you can certainly see how the Q50 would be able to outclass the 3 Series without blinking an eye.

Cadillac ATS

This may be the true class of the group and come in a way that others may not find fair, but for us as consumers as a perfect choice.  This is a light and perfect driving car that shows up with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine at the base model, but the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine gives you 272 horsepower or you can move up to the 3.6-liter V6 that has 335 horsepower.  Using a smooth eight-speed automatic and featuring the Cadillac driving and luxury features you expect this car has it all.  Actually it has more than it all, the ATS has a model called the ATS-V which is the performance coupe of the class and gives you the same engine you find on the track read Camaro to give you the most power you can find in this class and give you the car you want to show off to all your M3 owning friends.

As you can see there are some great options that make the BMW 3 Series an afterthought for you to wonder where it went.  Whether you choose the direct fighting German, the pair of Japanese models or one of the two GM offerings you have a great selection to pick from to have a car that is a beautifully crafted and built driving machine to be your next great ride.
