Another Supercar Well Just Have to Watch

If you own a car company that has built a reputation for providing a sporty style and the most engaging drive for several decades, you probably deserve to have a new limited edition car sold out quickly. Even though most of us will never get to touch or feel what this new supercar is or how it drives, like many others that have come before it, we’ll sit back and watch in awe as the few test models that are used to show off the car are put on display and the performance unleashed for us to admire.

This is exactly what’s happened with the new supercar from Porsche. Of course, because of the reputation and the fact that this will be a limited run model, this new supercar has already been gobbled up by those that don’t blink at spending $300,000 or more on a car. This new car is the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS. While we don’t even know the specs of the car yet, those that have put their name in the hat of 1,000 that will get to own and drive this car know it’s going to be something special, because every Porsche has been over the years.

This new car makes a surprising debut at E3 2017 during the Microsoft Xbox press conference. As the car that will be the cover car for the Forza Motorsport 7 video game, it made perfect sense for this impressive supercar to be on display at this show. The expected performance of this new car is around 700 horsepower and it will undoubtedly be one of the fastest Porsche models ever built and sold to the public ad a car that we can enjoy and admire in many ways from afar.

The initial units of the new 911 GT2 RS were reserved for current Porsche 918 Spyder owners to add to their collection and the deliveries of this new car will begin sometime in the fall with the 1,000 units being completed in the next few years. The power for this car is expected to come from a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that will allow this car to rocket to sixty mph in less than 2.9 seconds while reaching a top speed of 212 mph. These numbers and the look of the car are all that many people needed to put their money down for this beauty.

For the rest of us, we’ll get to talk about this limited edition car and we can certainly admire what it is on the market, but until one of these 1,000 owners decides to sell the car we won’t have a chance at owning one. What we can do is check out the new Motorsport 7 video game and have a lot of fun driving around on the screen and we can discuss this car even more as Porsche takes it out to the track to let us see what it can do and how much fun this impressive supercar is.
