2015 Toyota Camry Red

For over a decade the Toyota Camry has been the best-selling car in the country and with its history of top resale value, reliability and enjoyable driving capability it’s really no surprise at all. Having to compete in the mid-sized sedan class, which is by far the largest class of vehicles in the market, the Camry shows why it has outsold the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and others for so many years by combining features drivers want with value they need. In an effort to keep up with the ever-changing needs of the car shopping public, the Camry comes into 2015 with the most stylish look ever, making it a great looking car to go along with the other accolades.

For 2015 the Camry offers not only a more stylish look, but also features new sheet metal and an updated interior to give the occupants a more enjoyable feeling on the road. Add a crisper driving response and the Camry makes the grade for almost anyone to enjoy. The Camry gains this excellent handling and control from a more well-tuned suspension and steering system that is agile enough to take on any canyon run or winding mountain pass. Another feature that adds enjoyment is the increased insulation that gives the Camry a surprisingly quiet cabin for a mid-sized sedan.

There are three engines that are found in the Camry that can be chosen to enjoy the ride in whatever way an owner chooses. The base engine shows up as a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 178 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which helps this engine offer a fuel efficiency of 25 city/35 hwy mpg for owners to take full advantage of.

The second engine in the lineup is the more powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers some actual driving excitement. This engine offers 268 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque and is matched with the same six-speed automatic transmission to offer a decent fuel efficiency coming in at 21 city/31 hwy mpg. This powertrain is the one chosen most for its added power and with such a small loss of fuel efficiency the car is very capable and energetic both in driving and acceleration.

The third and most interesting engine offered for the Toyota Camry is the Gasoline-Electric Hybrid with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine gives an electric boost right from the beginning of acceleration helping to save gas during the entire driving process. The engine system offers a 200 horsepower net for some decent driving power and comes in with a fuel efficiency of 43 city/39 hwy for the LE model, and 40 city/38 hwy for the SE and XLE models. Choosing this engine offers plenty of fuel savings to enjoy and a great performance which is really what anyone purchasing a hybrid powertrain desires from their car.

With a fresh and new interior, the Camry comes in with simpler and more contemporary look than in year’s past. The old look has been completely redone and even the base model offers a 6.1-inch touch screen for all occupants to enjoy. The seats and materials are soft, comfortable and easy to get situated in and the rear seat gives plenty of room for even a taller person to stretch out and enjoy the ride and scenery as they ride on down the road. The control panel up front offers intuitively placed dials and gauges that make it very easy to have all the information at hand any driver would want.

On the outside the Camry is sharp, stylish, slightly elegant and very enticing. With a large front lower grill the front fascia starts the intriguing looks and offers some dynamic designs that flank the grill. The headlights are slanted and swept to the back giving the eye a natural movement across the hood to the roof which is a low and sporty line which continues to the rear of the vehicle. The beltline and door panels even have some unique and enjoyable shaping that gives the car a more sophisticated design feeling. Finally, the Camry rides on four flower-petal shaped wheels that make quite an appearance whether parked in a driveway or driving down a parkway.

The standard features for the Camry start out with the Entune infotainment system with a touch screen display, USB connectivity, voice recognition, a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, a 60/40 split folding rear seat, and a 2-year/25,000 mile no-cost maintenance plan that includes roadside assistance and a very long list of standard safety features which include ten airbags. This package of features allows the Camry to be a very enjoyable car that starts the maintenance off on the right foot without having features added that in general would drive up the price.

The optional features offered for the Camry include a moonroof, leather upholstery, keyless entry and starting, wireless phone charging, the Entune infotainment system in the Favorite Features section, self-applying brakes, lane departure warnings, blind spot monitoring, rear backup warnings and parking assists, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and a Safety Connect system that includes automatic collision notification and stolen vehicle locator services. Having a Camry with all these awesome features is to have a car that seriously comes close to reaching up into the luxury car class, but still comes in at a fairly reasonable price.

With a starting asking price of just under $24,000 the Camry base model can be and has been one of the most popular and enjoyable commuter cars on the market. At the other end of the spectrum, the fully loaded XLE with the V6 engine and all option boxes checked will ask for a price much closer to $35,000. Choosing the top end of the model still offers a price that won’t break the bank and gives owners a feeling of luxurious equipment and safety to enjoy and take full advantage of while driving down the road.
