The GMC Sierra 1500

The GMC Sierra 1500 is getting a bolder exterior look for the new model year. You can expect an updated grille, LED head and running lights, and more. You’ll love how the lights light up in sequence when you start your Sierra.

Inside, you now have the option to put bucket seats in the front of your cabin. This change means getting a T-shaped electronic shifter. If you keep the bench seat, you’ll have the column-mounted shifter.

On the tech side of things, the GMC Sierra 1500 comes loaded with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, 13.4-inch touchscreen display, and a 15-inch diagonal multicolor head-up display. The entertainment system is loaded with things like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the Google App Store.

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The Silverado 1500 will have an updated front fascia and new daytime running lights. To compete against the Sierra’s starting sequence, the Silverado’s lights have animation features when you walk to or from the truck.

The new Silverado will also come standard with a suite of Google features: Assistant, Maps, and Play. You can still use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from the 13.4-inch touchscreen that sits next to a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Same But Different

Even though the Sierra and Silverado are built in the same factory and share many of the same traits, they are not equal all the way through. Shoppers should take their time and examine their options fully.

The biggest difference between these two trucks revolves around luxury. The Sierra 1500 is considered a more sophisticated ride, which is showcased with the additional features, digital screens, and available options.
