GMC Gives You the View You Want

One of the greatest challenges of pulling a trailer with a truck is the fact that you have limited to no visibility behind the vehicle. In trucks built in the past, you didn’t always have a backup camera available for when you didn’t have a trailer, which meant you always had trouble seeing what’s going on behind your truck. Now, we have a system that’s being offered by GMC to give you the full view of what’s going on around your vehicle when you drive on the road, even when you pull a trailer with you.

The ProGrade Trailering System of GMC

The new 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty can nearly make your trailer invisible by combining the images from different cameras. What they have created is a camera on the tailgate, which is your normal rearview camera, and a camera that can be attached to the back of the trailer. With this combination of cameras, you’ll have a look at the hitch and trailer outline while seeing everything behind the trailer with the view given from the auxiliary camera. This gives you the ability to see much better and avoid taking the rearview camera out of the picture altogether.

A Variety of Camera Views

This new camera view is limited to trailers up to 32-feet long, which means a fifth-wheel owner won’t be able to enjoy the benefits of this system. However, there are fifteen different camera view of this new system that can help you get the hitch system right if you do own a fifth-wheel. You can even mount a camera inside the trailer to be able to check out the cargo you’re taking with you when you head out on the road with the items you’re taking with you on the road.

More Benefits in this new GMC

The new 2020 GMC Sierra HD not only offers you the option of the ProGrade Trailering System with the multiple camera views, but it also offers you the same two-piece tailgate that’s found on the new Sierra 1500. You can choose the 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel V8 engine to enjoy 445 horsepower and 910 lb.-ft. of torque while being attached to an Allison ten-speed automatic transmission for the work you need to get done. This is enough torque to help you pull up to 30,000 pounds behind your new heavy-duty truck.

Make the Right Choice

If you want the most complete vies on the road and a truck that’s made to offer you the new tailgate and a long list of luxury features for the drive, the new 2020 GMC Sierra HD is the right choice for you. While we don’t know if the Chevrolet version will have the same features on it, we do know what the Sierra has and this is the truck you can choose at the Denali trim to enjoy the benefits of leather upholstery and a slew of electronic aids that are meant to give you the connectivity and information you’re looking for in your new truck.
