While businesses, like automakers, exist to provide us with products and services that make our lives better, they are in the business of making money.
The ability to have more profits than losses is the first goal of every company but after that, the idea is to make as much money as possible. With that in mind, we’re going to take a look at the ten most valuable automotive brands in the world for this year to show you where you’ll find longevity and value.


Chevrolet – The bowtie brand continues to be one of the most impressive brands on the market and it came in at the 116 market in the Brand Finance rankings to make it a brand and part of GM that makes it admirable. Keep in mind, Chevrolet is part of GM where some other brands are also the only one in the name of the company, making this a tough comparison.
Audi – The movement of Audi saw this brand move from the 106th spot to 97th with a nineteen percent increase in the brand value over the past year. This German automaker has found some amazing ways to impress us with models that are engaging and exciting to drive and the most admirable interior design in the luxury automotive market.
Ford – There was a large drop in the Ford brand value over the past year and as a brand that has all models wearing the blue oval that could be a worrying statistic. Last year the Ford name was 46th overall and now it paces 83rd on the list making it one that might need to take a look at deleting some slow-selling models while increasing the number of performers in various markets.
Porsche – It seems a brand that’s hinged itself in the sports car market wouldn’t be able to compete with the mainstream models, but the growth of the SUVs from Porsche and the variety of 911 models offered has made it possible for Porsche to move from 107th to 71st marking an incredible jump in value in just one year for a brand that’s a lot of fun on the road.
Nissan – This Japanese brand dropped a few places this year, but should see a growth increase in the next year. Nissan went from 41st to 68th with a decrease in value, but several new models are ready to be offered to make it a brand that should make the quick change over the next twelve months. We’ll have to wait and see what the results are for 2019.
Honda – The Honda brand is one of the steadiest on the market and it moved up only one spot since last year to be 52nd most valuable brand in the world. This is a value increase of only a small percent, but it shows our trust and loyalty to the brand that has offered us a variety of models that fit all the needs we have when it’s time to get out on the road and drive.
Volkswagen – Here is an amazing result considering the recent history, but the VW name has risen from 40th on this list to 28th to be one of the top brands when it comes to value. We love our VW models and seem to have forgiven the scandal that took place in 2015 that had a history dating back several years. This brand is certainly on the rise with continued growth in the future.
BMW – This should come as no surprise, but what will is the fact that BMW dropped from last year. If that was the headline you might begin to worry, but the fact is this brand only dropped one spot to be the 17th most valuable brand in the world. This brand also saw its rating move up to make it even more admirable than in the past and a brand that comes in third among automotive names.
Toyota – As one of the largest and most impressive brands in the world, the Toyota name is always near the top of this list. The drop from 12th to 16th overall sees the Toyota name move from first last year to second this year, but that shouldn’t be a reason to worry. There are many new and evolutionary vehicles in the works at Toyota that we’ll see in the future.
Mercedes-Benz – It should come as no surprise that the one brand to displace Toyota is Mercedes-Benz. This brand finished in 15th overall which was a move upward of five spots on the list of most valuable brands. This company also saw an increase in value of 24 percent to be an incredible change and one that will certainly continue to compete for the top spot.
