We’re Going to see the Chevrolet Blazer Again in 2019

For several years the Chevrolet brand carried the Blazer as part of the lineup to offer a large SUV that was built off the trucks that wore the same brand. This name was replaced 24 years ago and a smaller Trailblazer name was offered, but that soon disappeared as well. In response to the action from Ford to bring back the Bronco name, Chevrolet has decided to allow us to enjoy the Blazer once again. This is one of the only models that could make it on the trails and offer an expertise for off-road performance.

Introducing the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Not too long ago, the Chevrolet team offered the FNR-X concept model as a hint at what the next version of the Blazer could be when it’s time for this name to emerge once again. The new 2019 Blazer has a sporty appearance that offers narrow LED headlights, a large black grill, and a coupe silhouette that makes it similar to the Blazer of old. This new version of the SUV will make its way to the lineup and be slotted between the Equinox and the Traverse to file a space that’s been unoccupied for a long time.

The platform for the new Blazer will be shared with the Cadillac XT5 and GMC Acadia as the C1XX platform. This means we’re going to have an extremely capable SUV that can certainly take on the drive and the fun you want to have when it’s time to spend the weekend in the wilderness challenging the vehicle to handle the trails you see. Of course, the new Blazer will also be a capable model that can be right for you to carry your family or your friends with you for the adventures you’re going to enjoy.

Getting Deeper into the New Blazer

Under the hood of the new Blazer, we’re going to see a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that will make 193 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque as the base engine. There’s also an optional 3.6-liter V6 engine that will be able to make 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque that you can choose as well. Both of these engines will make use of the nine-speed automatic transmission to make it a smooth and easy vehicle to drive. You’ll be able to enjoy the Blazer in either FWD or AWD layouts for the drive.

On the inside, the Chevrolet Blazer is one that has been inspired by the Camaro to give you the same center stack display screen and circular HVAC vents. You’re going to have an electronically locking glove, heated rear seats, and much more. The Premier and RS models will offer you available adaptive cruise control and an available heated steering system. If you’re ready to have a new SUV that carries a name that will be right for you and offer the capability you want to enjoy, this is the SUV that will bring you everything you’ve been looking for.

Looking for something slightly different? Opt for the Chevrolet Equinox, a sleek, roomy SUV.
