Here’s What We Know about the 2025 Chevrolet Camaro SUV

In true competitive fashion, Chevrolet is taking a page out of Ford’s playbook and transforming their well-loved muscle car, the Chevy Camaro, into an all-new SUV. Not much has been revealed about what the Chevy Camaro SUV will offer. However, we can turn to what’s already on the market to drum up a general target of what drivers can expect.

Today, we’re diving into the details of what Chevy has in store for the all-new 2025 Chevrolet Camaro SUV. While you won’t find this model at your local Chevy dealer just yet, you can read on to discover what to expect, including powertrain info, feature offerings, price points, and more.

The Camaro SUV is Coming to a Chevy Dealer Near You

Chevy has announced plans to transform the well-loved Camaro coupe into an SUV while still maintaining the essence of a Camaro. The rollout of the new SUV comes as the Camaro coupe is expected to retire after the 2024 model year, with new Camaro SUVs being available at your local Chevy dealer sometime in 2025.

The Camero SUV will likely be offered in three trim levels, including the 1LT, the 2LT, and the 3LT. While models are still a ways away from production, we can drum up a pretty good idea of what’s in store with this one-of-a-kind SUV, especially considering the automaker also has plans to roll out a Corvette SUV as well.

The Comaro SUV Will Ride on Ultium Power

The Chevrolet Camaro SUV will be built on GM’s Ultium electric battery platform. GM’s innovative Ultium lithium-ion cell battery measures out to roughly 23 by 4 by 0.4 inches and promises to deliver 20 times more energy than industry leader Tesla’s small, cylindrical cells.

GM’s unique ability to lay cells flat or stand them upright has allowed the automaker to have more flexibility when it comes to a vehicle’s floor plan. It’s this innovative electric power that has propelled the brand’s electric lineup over the past couple of years.

The downside, however, is the reality that an electrified Chevy Camaro SUV takes away the appeal of this popular muscle car. Some might argue that electric power doesn’t provide the same driving experience, power output, or fun that a traditional combustible engine coupe can. Still, Chevy remains persistent in its mission to win over Camaro enthusiasts as the market enters into this new wave of electric-powered vehicles.

Camaro SUV Cabin Features

Considering that the Chevrolet Camaro SUV will be an electric vehicle, drivers should anticipate the same great tech features found on most modern electric sedans and SUVs. This includes smartphone integration, wireless charging, Bluetooth capability, and much more. Additionally, in maintaining the Camaro’s essence, we’ll likely see many of the same great cabin features, including bucket seats, leather and wood accents, and sporty packages.

Despite being at least two years away from production, estimated MSRP ranges have been released. The base model 1LT is expected to start at $50,000, while the 2LT and 3LT will be offered at an estimated MSRP of $60,000 and $70,000, respectively.
