BMW X3 – Ready to Embrace Hybrid Driving

The BMW X3 is among the many models coming from this brand that will make an appearance in the hybrid form at the Geneva Motor Show.

As we move forward in the automotive world, we’re going to see more hybrid and electric vehicles offered. Several brands and automakers are embracing these models and know they can have the right selection to offer you when they add more for the drive. The Geneva Motor Show is filled with electric and hybrid SUVs this year and BMW is one of the brands that has brought a new hybrid lineup to give you the idea of what you can have when the production of these models begins in December of this year.

The Volume Model from BMW

One of the most popular BMW SUVs on the market is the X3. This SUV has been the one that’s sold more often than any other and the newest addition to the mix is an electrified model that will give you the added power and drive you want. This new model is called the xDRive30 which adds a plug-in port to the crossover to give you the ability to charge the batteries. This vehicle pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with an electric motor and an eight-speed Steptronic transmission. This offering gives you 252 horsepower and the ability to push it up to 293 ponies with the use of the XtraBoost button.

Other BMW Models Receive the Electric Treatment

BMW didn’t allow the X3 to be the only model to show up with the electric addition to the mix. Other models that receive the hybridization include the 2, 3, 5, and 7 Series along with the X5. This means we’ll six different new versions of the BMW models that have the addition of electric power for the drive that we want to enjoy with a bit of hybrid treatment for the ride on the road.

Range Added to Give You More

The xDrive30 model offers you an all-electric drive of 31 miles to make it easy to enjoy this SUV as a more efficient model. The battery pack for the 225xe Active Tourer and the 530e sedan are larger than in the past to give you a longer range. The 225xe now gives you 29 miles of range while the 530e is improved to 35 miles of range for the drive. If you choose the 330e, you’ll have 50 miles of driving range to enjoy the ride on the road. When you drive the new xDrive45e of the X5, you’ll have 45 miles of driving while the 7 Series is offered in 745e, 745Le, and 745LE xDrive to give you a range that varies between 31 and 36 miles.
