Uncover the Hidden Gems of Bentley’s Collection

Bentley is an ultra-luxurious brand bringing us a collection of amazing vehicles. Here are a few rare Bentley cars to admire.

We normally see Bentley cars carrying the British Royal Family, parked in front of stately mansions, and as part of some private collections. Some models from this brand are extremely rare and nearly impossible to find. Here are just a few of them and what they include, showing off the impressive high-end luxury power and features offered by this amazing car brand.

Turbo RT Mulliner

The Mulliner name is seen many times as the tuning house for Bentley products. Those customers looking for something unique and rare will turn to this team to get the job done. The Turbo RT Mulliner takes a grand mixture of parts from the Turbo R and Turbo T trims to put them together. This gives us a car with an amazing 6.75-liter V8 engine that delivers 400 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. There were only 52 models of this car built. What’s really interesting about this Bentley is the fact that it was one of the most affordable cars from this brand at $37,137.

Dominator

The Bentayga is the first Bentley SUV, right? Well, technically, that’s not true. A rare Bentley from the 1990s is the Dominator, which was based on the Range Rover. This SUV was made for only one client, the Sultan of Brunei, who happens to have one of the largest private car collections in the world. He commissioned six Dominator models to be built by Bentley. We don’t know much about these SUVs, but they were each sold to the Sultan for nearly $4.6 million.

4 ¼ Liter Embricos Special

Andre Embricos was a Greek racing driver in the mid-1930s. He approached Bentley to build a streamlined one-off car that could work great on the track and as a daily driver. The result was the 4 ¼ Liter Embricos Special. There was only one model ever made, and it was driven hard by the racer during the 1930s and 1940s. Three times, this car was entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing in 6th place in 1949.

Hunaudieres

The Hunaudieres was made to be a supercar when the VW Group took over ownership of Bentley in the 1990s. This car could bring a new identity to the high-end luxury brand, but it never made it to production. This rare Bentley was only ever made in prototype form, using a powerful 8.0-liter W16 engine that produced 623 horsepower. Eventually, VW Group chose to allow the Bentley brand to continue to be made up of luxury grand tourers instead of supercars.

Java

The Java was a Bentley that took the place of the Turbo, which was a fan favorite but got long in the tooth when VW took over the brand. Strangely, the Java never caught on enough to be a high-volume model, but it also didn’t meet its original intention of only being a concept car. There were 18 versions of this car made, which makes it a limited model. As expected, most of the versions of this Bentley ended up in the hands of the Sultan of Brunei and his family.

S3 Continental Mulliner Park Ward

The S3 Continental was one of the last hand-built Bentley cars. This car was loved by royalty and celebrities, but the Mulliner Park Ward took things to new heights. This car uses the expertise of two coachbuilders to give it the desired look and feel. There were 312 models of the standard S3 Continental built between 1962 and 1966, but very few of these received the Mulliner Park Ward upgrades. This makes the S3 Continental Mulliner Park Ward a rare Bentley car.

Buccaneer

Another Bentley that went exclusively to the brand’s top client, the Sultan of Brunei, is the Buccaneer. This car is a GT coupe with some swooping lines and incredible shapes. The design similarities to the Continental GT are easy to spot, but the Continental version came several years later. Similar to the Dominator, only six were ever made, and most of the specifications and information were kept secret. Several versions are likely still in the Sultan’s private collection, waiting for the right time to cash them in as some of the rarest Bentley cars ever made.

These seven rare Bentley models give added prestige and elegance to the brand. Were you aware of any of these cars?
