2019 GMC Sierra AT4

A Taste of What’s to come from the GMC Sierra

Truck lovers are anxiously awaiting more news about the upcoming 2020 GMC Sierra pickup. It looks like GMC doesn’t intend to disappoint.
We’ve seen several photos of the redesigned Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty model that will be part of the 2020 model year, but we haven’t seen any shots of the new GMC model yet. While we expect the new GMC Sierra HD to be similar to the Silverado, it would be nice to see what this new GMC truck will look like and what it will have to offer us when it shows up for our driving pleasure and needs. What we want before it heads to a show is an idea of what this new truck has to offer.

Finally, a Few Photos Appeared

The new GMC Sierra appears to have the same controversial feature as the Silverado; the massive grill. This big grill is enormous and in some conversations it’s been described as being gaudy, but it does have a purpose. The fact the new Sierra will wear the same face up front isn’t a surprise, its confirmation that the Sierra HD will continue to be one of the most impressive pickup trucks to be offered for our power and fun on the road, whether you need to get a big job done or you’re ready to head out to the lake for the weekend.

The Wait Continues

We will have to wait a while to see the new GMC Sierra HD. This new truck isn’t expected to make its debut until the second half of 2019 and it will not be offered with a teaser campaign that will keep us talking like the Toyota Supra was. Even so, the Sierra HD is being talked about in a lot of conversations, which is impressive for a large work truck that doesn’t have all the sports car features of the Supra.

Only Speculation for the New GMC Sierra

So far, we don’t know what the features and technical details of this new massive truck will be, but you can expect the power that will be offered will be identical to what we already know about the new Silverado HD. The two engines offered on that truck will be a gasoline V8 and a diesel V8 with a turbocharger for you to have the drive you want. The gasoline engine will use a six-speed automatic while the diesel model will make use of a ten-speed automatic transmission for the drive you want to enjoy on the road and at the job sites.

The Expected Reveal of the GM Pair

We expect to learn more about the new 2020 models of the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD when the 2019 Chicago Auto Show arrives in February. The one thing we do know for sure is the fact that we can expect a large amount of chrome to be offered in these two trucks to give us the look and impressive qualities we want to enjoy. There’s plenty that we’re going to admire when these trucks show up, and we can hope to learn that more power will be offered than the 910 lb.-ft. of torque that’s been discussed.
